Use of service

Nontrinsic is a free and open-source platform for nonsense. Use it in good spirit, and don't use it to harm others! In short:

• Be kind. Don't submit slurs, hate speech, or anything NSFW.
• Minor profanity is tolerated, but keep it light.
• Don't include private information (yours or anyone else's).
• If you want to censor something for comedic effect, use [redacted].

Submissions

• Submitting nonsense requires a registered account to reduce spam.
• Nonsense submissions are anonymous. They are not publicly linked to your account.
• All nonsense is released under CC0 1.0, so anyone can reuse or remix it.
• Do not submit copyrighted material unless it's clearly de minimis.
• Submissions are final—they can't be edited or removed afterward to preserve the database. However, entries may be merged if needed for clarity or structure.

You can download the nonsense database at any time from the List page.

What we collect

Nontrinsic doesn't track you or collect analytics. We only collect information if you choose to create an account to submit nonsense.

If you register or log in, we store:

• Your email address
• A hashed version of your password

Authentication and storage are securely handled via Supabase.

We also use Metabase for internal data visualization based solely on nonsense submissions. This data contains no personal information and is used in aggregate to better understand trends and usage patterns.

Account deletion

You can request account deletion by contacting nontrinsic@linerly.xyz.

Note: Deleting your account does not remove the nonsense you submitted. Submissions are final to preserve the creative and archival spirit of the project.
