In the neighborhood I grew up in there was this guy who would dress up as a psychoanalist and start hitting people with one of these divan chairs, which on one hand is impressive because the guy was freakin jacked - these chairs must weigh a ton. But on the other hand he kept yelling stuff about Freud being right in every way, and I knew that psychoanalisis is a pseudoscience and not a valid therapeutic framework, so that was a deeply disturbing thing for me as a kid. I know that therapy is good for you and all but every time I see a divan chair I get instantly reminded of the guy and fear he might come tell me how we should all be more like Freud and do
